The New York Jets raised awareness for ALS with the Ice Bucket Challenge. After accepting the challenge from the New England Patriots and talk show host Jimmy Fallon, the Jets challenged the Mets, Yankees, the Seattle Seahawks, the Cleveland Browns, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, and the Jets’ cheerleaders.
“Any time you get issued a challenge by New England—we’re going to accept that challenge,” Ryan told reporters at his daily press conference afterward. “I think what’s kind of lost in this a little bit—hopefully it isn’t—is the recognition for ALS.”
