As New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker prepares for his second season with the team, he took some time out of his schedule on Saturday, June 6 to participate in a well-received special camp featuring fundamental football instruction of more than 250 boys and girls (grades 1-8) at the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School Football Field.
Decker, a five-year veteran in the NFL, hosted his second-ever football camp for kids with ProCamps Worldwide camp director Rod Huber, who is also the head football coach of Mount St. Joseph University.
Last year, Decker hauled in 74 receptions for 962 yards and 5 touchdowns in his first season with the Jets, which was highlighted by a breakout performance in the final week of the season against the division rival Miami Dolphins. Expectations for the team are higher this year as the Jets have been active players this offseason with the return of All-Pro cornerbacks Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromarte and the addition of 5-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Brandon Marshall, who will line up alongside Decker on the team’s air assault.
