The New York Jets, for a moment, may have thought they had a chance to make the 2013 postseason but just as quickly as the opportunity presented itself, it closed up.
At 8-8, the Jets again disappointed many though with Geno Smith under center, expectations may have been a bit high for some given the Jets roster.
Still, with many of their solid pieces returning, there’s hope the Jets will make the playoffs this season and that seems to be a sentiment shared by free agent acquisition Eric Decker, who says the Jets have enough pieces to be in the postseason.
“We have the pieces to have a playoff team, it’s a matter of now for us finding how to put that together and making sure we can play efficient football,” Decker said.
