The Jets returned to their facility Monday after breaking training camp at SUNY Cortland, and then traveling to Cincinnati for Saturday night’s second preseason game.
There is not a whole lot of travel on the horizon for the Jets, so the newcomers to this team can get settled in to their New Jersey homes. This Friday’s third preseason game is against the Giants at MetLife Stadium. (The Jets are technically the home team.) And then the Jets’ preseason finale, next Thursday, is a quick trip down to Philadelphia.
It is all leading up to the Sept. 7 opener, at home, against the Raiders.
Eric Decker, the Jets’ prized wide receiver, did not participate in Saturday’s game at the Bengals because of a quadriceps injury. He was technically limited Monday. His biggest splash came in a 7-on-7 drill, when he beat cornerback Ellis Lankster for a deep completion that Decker caught in the end zone.

Decker appeared to be moving just fine. Or, as coach Rex Ryan put it: “Never looked limited on that one touchdown catch.”
