We all saw this coming after Eric Decker’s career day against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Decker has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career after catching eight passes for 174 yards and a franchise-record four touchdowns.

His four touchdowns were the most by a player in the NFL this season, and it was the most in an NFL road game in more than six years. Decker’s performance marked just the 12th time in league history a player has totaled at least 170 yards receiving and four touchdowns in a single game.

This is the fourth Offensive Player of the Week award for a Broncos this season.Peyton Manning won it in weeks 1 and 3, and Demaryius Thomas won it in week 10.

Maybe all Decker needed was a flip in the calendar. He had just 128 yards and no touchdowns in November.

Decker now has 63 receptions for 971 yards and 7 touchdowns in 2013.
